BMI Calculator — Check Your Body Mass Index

Enter your height and weight to get your BMI, WHO weight category, and healthy weight range.

Valid range: 50–250 cm

Valid range: 2–500 kg

Body Mass Index (BMI) is the simplest screening number doctors use to judge whether your weight is healthy for your height. With rising rates of obesity and diabetes in Pakistan — lifestyle diseases now affect a large share of urban adults — knowing your BMI is the first step toward taking your health seriously. Yet many people have never calculated it, simply because the formula looks intimidating.

NexToolz's free BMI calculator makes it effortless. Enter your height in centimetres or feet and inches, add your weight in kilograms, and it instantly computes your BMI (weight in kg divided by height in metres squared). The result is classified using the World Health Organization's standard categories — underweight, normal, overweight, or obese — and the tool shows the healthy weight range for your exact height, so you can see not just where you stand but where to aim.

Remember that BMI is a screening tool, not a diagnosis: athletes with heavy muscle mass can score high while being perfectly fit, and it does not distinguish fat from muscle. Still, for most people it is a reliable starting point. Use the result as motivation for balanced desi eating — controlled roti portions, more vegetables, less fried food — and regular walking, and consult a doctor in Pakistan for personalised medical advice.

Frequently asked questions

What is a good BMI?
The WHO defines a healthy BMI as 18.5–24.9. Below 18.5 is underweight, 25–29.9 is overweight, and 30 or above is obese.
How is BMI calculated?
BMI = weight (kg) ÷ height (m)². For example, 70 kg at 1.70 m gives 70 ÷ (1.7 × 1.7) = 24.2, which is in the normal range.
Is BMI accurate for everyone?
BMI is a screening tool, not a diagnosis. Athletes with high muscle mass, pregnant women, and the elderly may get misleading results. Consult a doctor for a full assessment.
What is the healthy weight range shown?
It is the weight band that keeps your BMI between 18.5 and 24.9 for your height — the range associated with the lowest health risks.
Is my data saved anywhere?
No. The calculation happens entirely in your browser and nothing is uploaded or stored.

Why use this tool?

BMI is a quick first screen, not a diagnosis, and this calculator presents it that way: your number, your category and the healthy weight range for your height in one view. It is a sensible starting point before a fuller conversation with a clinician, especially when you are setting a fitness or weight goal.
